About Us

Welcome to the official website of Bishopton Basketball Club (also known as “Bishopton Broncos” or just simply “the Broncos”).

Who We Are

Based in Bishopton, Scotland, Bishopton Basketball Club is one of the youngest of all the basketball clubs currently running throughout Renfrewshire. The Club was founded in 2004 by Tim Burges (a teacher at Bishopton Primary School) together with a group of parents whose children were showing great enthusiasm for the sport.

What We Do

The club provides a healthy interest for local children from Bishopton and surrounding towns and villages, such as Erskine, Inchinnan and Renfrew. Membership comprises boys and girls ranging from Primary 3 to 4th year in high school.

The main objectives of the club are to:

  • Promote the sport of basketball
  • Develop every member’s basketball skills so that he/she becomes the best basketball player he/she can be
  • Make a positive impact on the community, and
  • Have fun

Although a fairly young club, the Broncos are now firmly established as a real force within the local and basketball communities and continue to make a positive name for ourselves in our various activities.

Our website should provide a good insight to what we’re all about, so have a browse and hopefully you’ll find it interesting. Meanwhile, if you want to know anything else about Bishopton Basketball Club, please contact us at the link shown or speak to a Coach or Committee member at one of our training sessions.
